AI-enabled agile EO satellite — 0.5 m panchromatic, 23.5 km swath, 2 million km²/day capacity, stereo RMSE < 7.5 m (no GCP), launched June 2021.
Description
BJ3A is an AI-enabled agile remote sensing optical satellite launched June 11, 2021, operating at 500 km altitude in a sun-synchronous orbit. It delivers 0.5 m panchromatic and 2 m multispectral imagery with a 23.5 km swath. The satellite features autonomous flight path selection capable of monitoring 500 global points of interest with ~100 passes per day, and supports a daily acquisition capacity of 2 million km². Stereo collection achieves RMSE < 7.5 m without ground control points, supporting high-accuracy 3D mapping.
