Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), founded in 1934 in Almaty, is Kazakhstan's premier classical research university, named after the medieval Kazakh philosopher Al-Farabi. The university has a strong Faculty of Physics and Technology conducting research in astrophysics, space physics, and space instrumentation. KazNU collaborates with the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and participates in Kazakhstan's national space program, contributing to satellite remote sensing and space science research.
