All Nations University (ANU SSTL)

All Nations University (ANU SSTL) is a university-based laboratory that designs and develops satellite technology. Its product lines include educational satellites like CanSat, an amateur satellite ground station, and the GhanaSat-1 satellite. The GhanaSat-1 was developed by ANU-SSTL engineers to advance space science, earth observation, and satellite technology in Africa. The university also collaborates with NASA on atmospheric research, having installed a sun photometer as part of the global Aerosol Robotic Network. ANU SSTL leads collaborative training in small-satellite development across Africa. The university was established in 1996 and has two campuses with over 100 faculty members. GhanaSat-1 represents a notable program, being Ghana's first satellite designed, built, and launched by the university.
