AstroGate Labs

AstroGate Labs is a Bengaluru-based space technology startup founded in 2017 that builds advanced laser (optical) communication systems for nano and small satellites. The company develops one of the industry's smallest optical communication terminals, enabling space-to-ground data downlink speeds of up to 1 Gbps — 10 to 100 times faster than conventional RF systems at lower cost and with enhanced security.

The company is developing space-to-space laser terminals for inter-satellite crosslinks, optical ground station networks, and in-space relay systems to provide end-to-end laser communication infrastructure for the growing small satellite market. AstroGate Labs has validated its technology with the Indian Navy, ISRO, and DRDO, and received the DRDO Dare 2 Dream Award 2024.

Founded by Nitish Singh, Aditya Kedlaya, Subhajit Chakraborty, and Yogeshwaran Jayaraman, AstroGate Labs graduated from the Seraphim Space Accelerator in 2023 and has raised .23M in funding.
