The Signaling Device (FAM) monitors the maximum permissible concentration of oil in high-pressure air at the outlet of compressor stations, ensuring air quality for critical applications.
Description
The Signaling Device, also known as FAM, is designed to monitor the maximum permissible concentration of oil in high-pressure air at the outlet of compressor stations. Its primary purpose is to ensure the quality of compressed air, which is crucial for various industrial and potentially space-related applications. The device was first released in 2006 and boasts a guaranteed service life of 15 years. The estimated production and delivery time is 9 months. While it does not have flight qualification, it can be adapted to meet specific customer requirements. The FAM signaling device comprises several key components, including an optical block, power supply, control unit, PMT block, pulsed light source, flow limiter, and a set of mounting parts. Since 2009, this device has been utilized at the Vostochny spaceport as an integral part of its compressor station infrastructure.
