Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), founded in 1973 and named after the ancient Greek philosopher Democritus, is a multi-campus university in northeastern Greece. The university's space activities center on the DUTHSat project, a CubeSat developed by the Space Research Laboratory to demonstrate low-cost Earth observation and communications technologies. DUTH contributes to Greek space industry development through research in remote sensing, communications, and satellite systems engineering.
DUTHSat is a student-built nanosatellite from Democritus University of Thrace, part of Greeces university space program for developing satellite engineering expertise.
