ARIETIS Gyro Unit
3-axis space-qualified, radiation-hardened gyroscope for satellite AOCS — medium-accuracy, low-noise, suited for LEO, MEO, and GEO missions.
Description
ARIETIS is a 3-axis space rad-hard gyro unit used in a satellite's Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) to measure angular rates about three orthogonal axes and deliver cumulated angles to the on-board computer. It is a medium-accuracy gyroscope with very low noise across its full bandwidth, suited to LEO Earth observation, MEO navigation, and GEO telecom missions. EREMS developed it in collaboration with INNALABS, with EREMS responsible for the CV Board (power supply board) and the FPGA.
