Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai Precision Industry), the world's largest electronics manufacturer by revenue (assembler of Apple iPhones, Tesla electronics, and most major consumer electronics), has entered satellite manufacturing through its Space Division. Foxconn's entry into satellite manufacturing is significant because constellation operators need to build thousands of satellites at consumer electronics cost points and production rates — which legacy aerospace suppliers are not equipped to achieve.
Foxconn Space applies its expertise in high-volume precision electronics manufacturing, automated assembly lines, component sourcing at massive scale, and supply chain management to satellite bus production.
