About Hanwha Aerospace

Hanwha Aerospace (formerly Samsung Techwin, then Hanwha Techwin) is South Korea's leading aerospace and defense systems company, established in 1977. The company manufactures aircraft engines, gas turbines, and is the prime developer of propulsion systems for the Korean Space Launch Vehicle KSLV-II (Nuri). Hanwha supplied the 75-ton-class liquid oxygen/kerosene engines for Nuri's first, second, and third stages. The company is actively expanding into the broader launch services market as part of South Korea's ambition to develop independent access to space.
