Ideia Space

Ideia Space is a Brazilian space education company dedicated to opening access to space by empowering students from middle school through higher education to participate in real satellite missions. Through its flagship Space Challenge program, Ideia Space guides students through all phases of a real orbital mission: defining mission objectives, designing satellite subsystems, programming sensors on a block-based educational platform, performing tests and simulations, and ultimately launching a PocketQube satellite into orbit.

The Space Challenge is structured in three progressive phases — Mission Concept and Design, Project Concept and Design, and Orbital Operation — culminating in students monitoring their own satellite in orbit and analyzing real data. The program aims to develop technical skills, scientific thinking, and teamwork for the next generation of space professionals.

Ideia Space is also developing a suite of educational technologies, including the EduSat educational satellite kit, an orbital PocketQube satellite platform, an Educational FlatSat system, a Mission Programming Tool (block-based), and an Educational Satellite Constellation — a network of student-built satellites launched globally.
