Kyung Hee University (AIR & SSI Lab) is involved in the development and launch of small satellites and CubeSats, as well as scientific payloads. The university developed two scientific instrument units for the eXperimental Lunar Orbiter (XLO). They have launched several satellites, including SIGMA (launched on PSLV-C40 in 2018), KHUSAT-03 (ITU registration in 2016), KHUSAT-01, and KHUSAT-02 (both launched in 2013). They also participated in the CINEMA (CubeSat for Ion, Neutral, Electron, MAgnetic fields) mission, an international collaboration. Testing activities for their satellites include vibration tests and thermal vacuum tests. The university is headquartered in Kyung Hee University.
