Data Transport as a Service (DTaaS)
A cloud-style, usage-based data transport service that lets customers self-provision high-speed capacity on LaserLight's global, all-optical, software-defined laser communications network.
Description
Data Transport as a Service (DTaaS) is a usage-based network capacity offering from LaserLight Communications that applies a cloud consumption model to a high-speed, global, all-optical laser communications network. It aligns cost with demand for communications service providers (CSPs), enterprises, and hyperscalers by letting operations managers self-provision data transport where, when, and how much they need, paying only for the volume of data transported rather than for fixed capacity. The service is delivered over a greenfield, software-defined all-optical elastic network in which a fully automated Network Operating System (NOS) delivers real-time performance while AI optimizes routing and service orchestration against specified KPIs. A large global pool of capacity absorbs and load-balances traffic peaks across the network. Network operators can self-provision connectivity in minutes, significantly increasing on-demand access to global high-speed transport capacity without traditional long-lead capacity procurement.
