Shenzhen MagicCubeSat Technology (MCS)

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Shenzhen, MCS works on the mission of making satellites accessible to everyone: high-quality, cost-effective microsatellite products manufactured industrially rather than one by one. The company designs and mass-produces communications, navigation, optical remote sensing and SAR satellites, and separately sells the core units behind them — triple-junction GaAs solar arrays, lithium-ion battery packs, momentum wheels of 15, 50 and 340 mNms, solar array drive assemblies and cold-gas propulsion modules. More than 20 sets of its solar arrays are in orbit, and its attitude control products first flew in 2020. Manufacturing sites are in Chongqing (Qijiang District) and Xichang, with a branch in Beijing. Alongside hardware MCS provides remote sensing imagery services for urban security, environmental monitoring, land mapping and disaster response.
