Description
Marble Imaging is developing a scalable constellation of very-high-resolution imaging satellites intended to provide daily global coverage. The first satellite targets a product resolution of up to 0.7 m in Visual and Near Infrared bands, plus Short Wave Infrared bands at a targeted 6 m resolution; later constellation satellites target 0.5 m resolution. The spacecraft is sized for the ~150 kg small satellite class, with the imager flight model developed by partner Scanway Space. Future plans include adding AIS and passive RF sensor payloads. The company has signed an ESA contract, with Scanway, to deliver a sub-meter resolution telescope for a satellite.
