Nihon University

Nihon University is one of Japan's largest private universities, established in 1889. Its College of Science and Technology hosts a space systems laboratory that has designed and operated university CubeSats. SEEDS (Space Engineering Exploration and Development Satellite) was launched in 2008 as a 1U CubeSat for amateur radio communications. SPROUT was launched in 2014 as a 3U CubeSat featuring a deployable membrane antenna experiment and Earth imaging capability, demonstrating Nihon University's growing expertise in small satellite technology.
