Iridium PNT
Iridium PNT provides resilient and secure positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) services globally, leveraging its LEO satellite constellation.
Description
Iridium PNT offers an alternative positioning, navigation, and timing solution that operates anywhere on Earth. It delivers accurate time and location data essential for various critical applications, including keeping planes on schedule, synchronizing 5G networks, and protecting financial transactions. The service is designed to function indoors, at sea, in the air, and during GPS or GNSS outages, providing resilience against interference, spoofing, or jamming that might disrupt other systems. The core of the service relies on a signal from Iridium's global network of crosslinked low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. For integration, the Iridium PNT ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) enables resilient, secure primary or backup PNT capabilities in an ultra-compact chip form factor. This service is crucial for strengthening national resilience and supporting critical infrastructure worldwide.
