SLIMOp Space

SLIMOp Space S.L. was founded in 2022 in Barcelona, Spain by Eduardo Ferrer Puig, with a mission to democratize Earth observation by dramatically reducing the cost and delivery time of high-resolution satellite imaging systems. The company develops orbital telescopes optimized for small satellites and CubeSats, where conventional large optics are prohibitively heavy and expensive.

The company core technology enables super-lightweight, low-cost imagers that can be rapidly integrated into nanosatellite platforms, allowing operators to build and scale Earth observation constellations at a fraction of the traditional cost and timeline. Their designs target applications including precision agriculture, urban planning, disaster monitoring, and environmental surveillance where frequent revisit rates enabled by large constellations are essential.

SLIMOp Space has been recognized with the 2026 National Industry Award Well Made in Spain and has secured support from ESA through the ESA Commercialisation Gateway programme. The company operates from Barcelona, one of Europe leading space startup clusters, and has built partnerships with major space prime contractors and institutional clients across Europe.
