Rocket Lab's Space Solar Solutions provide complete power solutions for all spacecraft, combining high-efficiency and radiation-hardened solar cells with modular and customizable solar panel arrays. These solutions are designed to power spacecraft for any orbital, Lunar, and interplanetary mission. The offering includes both solar cells/Cell Interconnected Components (CICs) and solar panels/substrates. The solar cells and CICs are described as the highest efficiency commercially available products, achieving efficiencies up to 34% and delivering over 4MW of power for flight missions. They come in standard cell areas up to 81.5 cm² with custom sizes available. Flight-proven technologies include space-qualified triple-junction (ZTJ, ZTJ+ & ZTJ-Ω), quad-junction (Z4J & Z4J+) and five-junction (IMM-β) solar cell technologies. The space-qualified solar panel arrays are designed to meet rigorous demands, offering customizable, modular solutions for diverse power needs. Both rigid and flexible build-to-spec solar panels are provided, fully tested and ready for integration.
