Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) is an American aerospace manufacturer and launch service provider founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, with the ultimate goal of enabling humanity to become a multi-planetary species. Headquartered in Hawthorne, California, SpaceX has fundamentally transformed the commercial space industry through aggressive innovation in reusable rocket technology.

SpaceX developed the Falcon 9 — the world's first orbital-class reusable rocket — with first-stage boosters capable of landing vertically and reflying up to dozens of times. The Falcon Heavy extends this capability to heavy-lift missions. Together, these vehicles have launched ISS cargo and crew missions (Dragon spacecraft), commercial satellites, national security payloads, and rideshare constellation deployments including SpaceX's own Starlink broadband constellation.

Starship, SpaceX's fully reusable Super Heavy/Starship system, represents the next generation: a fully stainless steel rocket designed to carry over 100 tonnes to LEO, reach the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Starship is intended to replace all current SpaceX vehicles and ultimately enable the colonization of Mars.

SpaceX also operates Starlink, the world's largest satellite internet constellation with over 6,000 operational satellites providing broadband internet to underserved regions globally. SpaceX has become the world's largest launch provider by flight count and payload mass delivered to orbit.
