About TiSPACE (Taiwan Innovative Space)

TiSPACE (Taiwan Innovative Space) is a private company in Taiwan specializing in space technologies and launch services. Its headquarters is in central Taiwan, close to high-tech science parks, and it operates its own private launch site in the low-latitude region along the southeast coastline of Taiwan. TiSPACE is a new player in the space industry offering competitive space launch systems based on hybrid rocket propulsion technologies.

Beyond its hybrid rocket propulsion systems, TiSPACE has developed the orbit-insertion enabling technologies of guidance, navigation and control with reliable tracking and telemetry. By fully utilizing high-tech and precision manufacturing capabilities with locally available parts and materials, the company's launch vehicle systems are 100 percent made in Taiwan (MIT), allowing it to enter the dedicated space launch services market at very competitive cost.

TiSPACE was established to provide innovative and cost-effective launch services to the global space community amid increasing commercial demand for placing nano- and micro-satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO). In August 2019 the company founded Formosan Space Inc. (FSI) in California, USA, its first overseas subsidiary, to assemble, integrate and provide space launch services and perform launches from local U.S. spaceports, working seamlessly with the Taiwan team to offer customers more launch site options and more responsive services.

TiSPACE received its first rocket launch permit from the Australian Government on 9 August 2021 for the maiden flight of its Hapith I launch vehicle, marking a milestone as one of Taiwan's earliest private orbital launch attempts.
