Tsinghua University

Tsinghua University, established in 1911, is one of China's most prestigious universities and consistently ranks among the world's top academic institutions. Tsinghua has a distinguished space technology program with a history of building and launching satellites.

The university's most notable space achievement is TSINGHUA-1, launched in 2000 as a collaborative mission with the University of Surrey, providing Earth observation capabilities. Tsinghua also developed the Naxing series of nanosatellites, including NS-1 (Naxing-1), which demonstrated advanced miniaturized space technologies.
