UC Berkeley Space Science Lab (SSL) designs, builds, integrates, tests, and operates complete spacecraft and science instruments in-house. They have built instruments for over 100 satellites, flown more than 150 balloons, and built and flown over two dozen rockets. SSL is headquartered in Berkeley, CA, and was founded in 1959. Their customers include NASA and other government, commercial, and private entities for collaborations and funding.
