The Space and Planetary Exploration Laboratory (SPEL) at the Universidad de Chile is Chile's leading academic space research group. SPEL developed SUCHAI-1, Chile's first CubeSat, launched in 2017, followed by SUCHAI-2 and SUCHAI-3.
