York University – CRESS / YuSend Lab

The Centre for Research in Earth & Space Science (CRESS) at York University designs scientific instruments and pioneers novel methodologies for space missions. They develop space-based instrumentation, cubesats, and satellite subsystems. CRESS contributes instruments to prominent space missions, including the NASA OSIRIS-APEX and NASA Phoenix Mars Missions. CRESS researchers have led Canadian contributions to the NASA Mars Phoenix mission and the NASA OSIRIS-REx mission, and are involved in the NASA Mars Curiosity rover mission. Their research areas include planetary exploration, climate and the environment (with a focus on atmosphere, ices, and climate modeling), and space technologies, including GPS technologies. CRESS is headquartered at York University.
