Methodology. Statistics are computed from normalized specifications of catalogued products (subcategories included). The typical range is the middle half of the market — a quarter of products sit below it and a quarter above — which describes the ordinary article better than the extremes: a category may hold both a 12 g separation nut and a 120 kg dispenser. “Stated by” is how many catalogued products carry the parameter at all; rows marked thin rest on fewer than twelve and should be read as an indication. Prices are supplier-published list prices converted to USD at fixed rates (EUR 1.08, GBP 1.27); most space hardware is priced on request, so price coverage is partial by nature.
