About
Stampede is a constellation of satellites developed by Cowboy Space Corp. designed to create a power grid in outer space specifically for artificial intelligence. This integrated system utilizes satellites and rockets to deliver high-performance compute and optical data transmission from Low Earth Orbit. The core concept involves using the rocket’s upper stage as the satellite itself, which functions as a megawatt-class data center. This design integrates active thermal management and compute capabilities into a single, unified vehicle from the ground up, eliminating redundant structure and avionics. By doing so, every possible kilogram is dedicated to high-performance AI compute. The system aims to address the limitations of Earth’s energy grid in keeping pace with the rapid demand of AI infrastructure, offering a solution for on-orbit GPU data centers. Each launch expands the constellation’s power and compute capacity.
