About
The S740 is a radiation-tolerant communications PCI mezzanine card designed for space systems integration. It features 16 RS-422 differential input channels and 16 RS-422 differential output channels, with optional expansion to up to 64 TTL drivers and receivers supporting mixed interface standards including LVDS and MLVDS.
Onboard FPGA logic controls the serial I/O interface to external spacecraft sensors and devices, with configurable serial I/O modes including NRZ-L, NRZ-M, and BiPhase-L encoding. The 128 MB ECC-protected SDRAM provides buffering for data packets, managed by dual DMA controllers, with software-configurable interrupt capability for event-driven architectures.
The card is a single-width PMC format compliant with PCI 3.0 at 33.333 MHz (32-bit), cooled via IEEE 1101.2 conduction-cooled mounting. Power consumption stays below 5 watts nominal. Custom and standard FPGA control logic variants are available to meet mission-specific interface requirements.
