About
ALMASat-1 (Alma Mater Satellite) is a microsatellite developed by Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with the University of Bologna. Launched on February 13, 2012 aboard a Vega rocket as a secondary payload, it became the first Italian university satellite in orbit. The satellite demonstrated technologies for small spacecraft systems and served as a platform for student education in satellite engineering.
