About

Anduril Industries is a US defense technology company founded in 2017 by Palmer Luckey (creator of Oculus Rift) focused on autonomous defense systems powered by its Lattice OS — an autonomous command, control, and intelligence (C2I) software platform. Lattice OS integrates data from diverse sensors (radar, EO, RF, acoustic) into a real-time fused operational picture and applies AI/ML to classify threats, assign confidence scores, and recommend or autonomously execute responses.

Anduril has expanded Lattice OS into space domain awareness (SDA) applications for US Space Force, integrating ground-based radar tracks, LEO sensor data, and catalog information to provide automated threat assessment for satellite protection and space domain command and control. Space applications of Lattice include satellite collision avoidance decision support, foreign-satellite-close-approach detection and alert, and command-and-control of Anduril’s space-related hardware.

Anduril’s counter-UAS systems (Sentry towers, Ghost autonomous aircraft) are not space products, but the company is developing satellite-linked autonomous sensing systems and has won US Department of Defense contracts including counter-drone systems using space-coordinated surveillance. Anduril was last valued at $14 billion (2023) and is headquartered in Costa Mesa, California.
