About
Antwerp Space (formerly Alcatel Bell Space — a Belgian telecoms equipment company) develops and manufactures satellite ground station equipment, focusing on LEO satellite constellation ground networks. The company’s product range includes satellite modems (SATCOM modems for X-band, S-band, and Ka-band signals), low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), upconverters/downconverters, and baseband processing units.
With the proliferation of large LEO constellations (Starlink, OneWeb, Telesat Lightspeed), ground station gateway equipment has become a growing market. Each LEO constellation gateway site requires dozens of antennas with high-performance modems and signal processing equipment to handle the continuous handoffs as satellites transit overhead. Antwerp Space targets these gateway applications with its high-reliability, carrier-grade equipment.
Antwerp Space also provides satellite communications modems for maritime VSAT terminals, military satellite communications terminals, and small satellite TT&C (telemetry, tracking, and command) systems for satellite operators.
