Aurora Space

Aurora Space provides cubesat project development, engineering and consulting services, positioning itself as a specialist in small satellite component integration to help reduce risk for future small satellite missions. Their offering spans three main areas: (1) cubesat development, engineering and consulting for satellite integration projects; (2) active remote sensing solutions built on cubesat platforms for smart planning and preventive action, applied to precision agriculture, critical infrastructure monitoring and natural resource survey; and (3) nanosatellite-based communications technology intended as a key enabler for IoT connectivity, offering cost-effective, wide-coverage satellite networks. The company traces its origin to the SUCHAI project, the first Chilean-made satellite, developed at the University of Chile, which represented the founding effort of the Aurora Space team; SUCHAI was successfully launched to space. Aurora Space continues to support next-generation satellite missions being developed with the University of Chile, including a SUCHAI 2 mission and associated flight software work, aiming to supply the technical knowledge and qualified human resources needed for successful space projects.
