About

Axiom Space operates private astronaut missions (PAM) to the International Space Station, leveraging SpaceX Crew Dragon as the crew transportation vehicle. These missions allow national space agencies, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals to access the ISS for research, tourism, and technology demonstration without being part of a government astronaut corps.

Axiom has completed multiple missions: Ax-1 (April 2022, first all-private crew to ISS), Ax-2 (May 2023, included Saudi Arabia’s first female astronaut), Ax-3 (January 2024, ESA project astronaut and international crew), and Ax-4 (2025). Each mission lasts approximately 10–14 days at the ISS and costs approximately $55 million per seat, including all training, EVA suit access, and on-station operations.

National programs use Axiom missions for crew training, scientific experiments in microgravity, and national pride objectives. Axiom has partnerships with Saudi Aramco (Ax-2), UAE, and multiple European nations. The missions represent Axiom’s near-term revenue stream while its own station is under development.
