China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) is the sole commercial agency authorized by the Chinese government to market Chinese launch vehicles and satellite systems internationally. CGWIC offers Long March (Chang Zheng) rocket launch services to international satellite operators for GEO, MEO, LEO, and SSO missions — providing a competitive alternative to Western and Russian launch providers.
CGWIC has launched over 50 international commercial satellites since the 1980s, including satellites for Intelsat, Intersputnik, ABS, Apstar, and national satellite operators across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Primary launch vehicles offered include the Long March 3B (GTO, up to 5,500 kg), Long March 2D (LEO/SSO), Long March 2C (LEO/SSO), and Long March 7 (LEO).
CGWIC also provides turnkey satellite system contracts — delivering the satellite (manufactured by DFH Satellite Co. or CAST) along with the launch, ground system, insurance, and training as a complete package. This turnkey offering has been particularly popular with emerging space nations in Africa and Asia acquiring their first national satellite.
