Changsha Tianyi Space Technology (天仪研究院, SPACETY) is a Chinese commercial satellite manufacturer and constellation operator providing rapid satellite manufacturing services and operating specialized data communication constellations. The company is headquartered in Changsha, Hunan Province, and has earned a reputation for rapid satellite development at low cost.
Spacety manufactures CubeSats and microsat platforms (10–100 kg) for commercial customers wanting to build smallsat constellations for IoT communications, AIS ship tracking, ADS-B aircraft tracking, and Earth observation. The company operates its own Tianyi satellite constellation of 30+ satellites providing IoT connectivity, AIS, and ADS-B data services for logistics, shipping, and aviation customers in China.
Spacety has contracted with international customers (including GHGSat for SAR-related hosting) and demonstrated the ability to deliver flight-ready CubeSats in under 12 months at costs significantly below Western providers. The company participated in ESA’s China-Europe Space Science and Applications mission studies and has launched satellites on Long March, Kuaizhou, and international rideshare vehicles.
