About
China Siwei Surveying and Mapping Technology (中国四维测绘技术有限公司, SIWEI / Spacety) is China’s primary commercial remote sensing service company, distributing high-resolution Earth observation imagery from its GaoJing (SuperView) constellation and other commercial Chinese EO satellites to government, commercial, and international customers.
The GaoJing (高景, ‘SuperView’) constellation — operated by Beijing Space View Technology, a SIWEI partner entity — consists of four 0.5-meter resolution optical satellites launched in 2016 and 2019, providing daily coverage of priority areas. The satellites capture RGB+NIR 4-band multispectral imagery at 2 m resolution and panchromatic imagery at 0.5 m resolution. Imagery can be ordered via Siwei’s online portal or through reseller partners in over 80 countries.
China Siwei is a subsidiary of CASC (China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation) and serves as the commercial arm for distributing imagery from both the GaoJing constellation and imagery from CAST-manufactured government Earth observation satellites authorized for commercial release. Applications include national mapping, urban planning, resource survey, agricultural monitoring, infrastructure assessment, and maritime surveillance.
