NANOBOOM Deployable Boom

Compact deployable boom system for CubeSats and small satellites, extending antennas, sensors, or magnetometers away from the spacecraft body.

About

The NANOBOOM is Comat’s deployable boom mechanism for CubeSats and small satellites, designed to extend antennas, magnetometers, or other sensors away from the spacecraft body to reduce electromagnetic interference or improve field of view. The boom stows compactly for launch and deploys reliably on orbit using a spring-driven or motorized mechanism.

The NANOBOOM is built on Comat’s mechanical engineering heritage in deployable space structures, drawing on decades of experience supplying flight hardware to CNES and European space programs. It is designed for straightforward integration into the small satellite bus and can be configured for different extension lengths and payload masses.
