Edge1 Computing Module

The Edge1 Computing Module is OrbitsEdge’s flight-qualified compute platform designed to bring high-performance, edge-based data processing to satellites operating in low Earth orbit. Built around commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components integrated into a satellite bus, Edge1 combines industry-standard systems, storage, and software to process Earth observation and other sensor data directly at the source rather than transmitting raw data to the ground. Edge1 is compatible with satellite communications networks through OrbitsEdge’s SatFrame framework, allowing operators to reduce bandwidth requirements, cut latency, and lower the cost of extracting usable analytics from orbital data streams while enabling more autonomous satellite operations.
