About

Funded by NASA, LOXSAT is a technology demonstration satellite that tests a series of cryogenic fluid management technologies in space, including zero-loss storage and transfer and cryogenic pressure control. Launching from Mahia, New Zealand, LOXSAT is stationed in Low Earth Orbit for a total of 9 months. Upon proving these technologies in microgravity, LOXSAT paves the way for Cryo-Dock, a fully commercial cryogenic propellant depot in space.
