Centauri Satellite IoT Network

Fleet Space Technologies is an Australian space company operating the Centauri constellation of CubeSats providing narrowband IoT connectivity and data relay for remote sensors globally. Fleet Space’s primary commercial traction has been in the minerals exploration and mining sector, where their ‘ExoSphere’ product combines seismometers on the ground with satellite-connected data hubs to accelerate subsurface mineral exploration.

ExoSphere uses a network of lightweight, solar-powered seismic sensors deployed across exploration areas to capture passive seismic data — microseismic signals from subsurface geological features and industrial noise. These signals are processed to create 3D subsurface models revealing rock formations, void spaces, and potential ore deposits that would take years and tens of millions of dollars to characterize with traditional exploration drilling. Satellite connectivity via the Centauri constellation allows sensors in truly remote locations (Atacama Desert, Australian Outback, Arctic) to transmit data continuously without cellular coverage.

Fleet Space has worked with BHP, Rio Tinto, and other major mining companies, and raised over $100 million AUD in venture funding.
