About

JV Ghalam LLP operates one of the most advanced spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Test Complexes (AITC) in the CIS region, located at the National Space Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan. The 15,000 m² cleanroom facility meets ISO 8 class standards, is operated to strict Airbus Defence and Space procedures, and can process spacecraft up to 6 tons — covering micro, small, and medium satellite programs through to large GEO platforms.

The AIT service suite includes structural assembly, electrical integration, functional testing, thermal-vacuum testing, vibration testing, EMC and electromagnetic compatibility testing, and climatic testing. Precision measurement is supported by coordinate measuring machine (CMM) capability. The facility also provides MLI (multi-layer insulation) manufacturing, cable harness production, precision mechanical elements, EEE component supply, and 3D-printed spacecraft parts — all under Airbus technology transfer agreements.

Ghalam has provided AIT and satellite systems integration services for Kazakhstan’s national satellite programs including KazSTSAT (2018, SSTL-X50 Earthmapper, 105 kg, Falcon 9) and KazEOSat-2 (2014, 177 kg). The company holds partnerships with Airbus, ESA, SSTL, and JAXA, and is a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) since 2024.
