About
Haige Communications Technology (海格通信, Guangzhou Haige Communications Group) is a Chinese state-linked defense and communications technology company producing satellite communication terminals, military radios, and navigation equipment. The company’s satellite terminal division manufactures shipboard VSAT antennas, portable satellite modems, and vehicle-mounted satellite communication systems for Chinese naval vessels, coastguard ships, and commercial maritime users.
Haige’s marine satellite terminals support C-band, Ku-band, and Ka-band GEO satellites, as well as BeiDou message communication (the BeiDou-2 short message service provides two-way messaging capability to small terminals without internet connectivity, widely used in Chinese fishing fleets for safety communications). The company also produces Inmarsat-compatible Fleet Broadband and VSAT systems for commercial shipping.
Haige Communications is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and has approximately 8,000 employees. The company serves Chinese military communication programs (radio and satellite) and commercial transportation (maritime, aviation, highway). As BeiDou-3 global service matures, Haige is well-positioned as a primary supplier of BeiDou satellite communications equipment for the Chinese maritime and transportation markets.
