The platform processes commercial satellite imagery from multiple EO operators to track vessel movements in areas beyond AIS coverage (dark vessels in open ocean, ship-to-ship transfers in international waters, port activity), cross-referencing imagery-derived vessel positions with AIS and RF signal data to identify anomalies — vessels that have disabled their AIS transponders, vessels operating in sanctioned areas, or cargo transfers inconsistent with declared manifests.

Intella’s customers include trade intelligence companies (tracking commodity flows for price forecasting), financial institutions (monitoring commodity supply chains for investment decisions), compliance officers (sanctions monitoring), and government agencies (maritime surveillance, illegal fishing detection, smuggling investigation).
