About
Under NASA’s Near Space Network Services (NSNS) contracts, Lanteris/Intuitive Machines is developing a constellation of lunar data relay satellites to enable advanced communication and navigation solutions for lunar exploration. The constellation will provide a pay-by-the-minute continuous data subscription service and enhanced situational awareness, meeting growing demand for real-time lunar connectivity. The first satellite, Altus-1, is scheduled for lunar orbit delivery in 2026. Two subsequent satellites are planned to launch on the company’s 4th lunar surface delivery mission to support NASA’s Artemis campaign.
