TreeNet & Leaf Line

TreeNet is Leaf Space’s innovative “always-on” connectivity solution designed to revolutionize satellite operations in orbit. It establishes a continuous communication layer by integrating satellites and ground infrastructure into a federated mesh network, moving beyond the limitations of traditional ground station passes. This enables satellite operators to access their assets in real-time, eliminating the need to wait for scheduled contact windows. TreeNet addresses the current challenge where most LEO satellites connect to the ground only about 10% of the time, leading to delays and inefficiencies. By enabling continuous communication, TreeNet facilitates faster decision-making, real-time data access, and more agile operations. The core components of TreeNet are TreeNodes, which allow satellites to communicate directly with each other and with the Leaf Line network. As more satellites join, the system strengthens, evolving from fragmented connectivity to a robust, interconnected space ecosystem.

Leaf Line complements TreeNet by offering seamless access to satellites through a global network of owned and operated ground stations. This Ground Segment as a Service (GSaaS) solution provides all-inclusive per-minute pricing, allowing satellite operators to efficiently perform mission-critical data communication. Leaf Line supports Command & Control (TT&C) operations, including receiving telemetry data and transmitting commands, as well as managing mission-critical communication for payload data reception and transmission. The Leaf Line network serves satellite operators worldwide, with over 50% of operations supporting missions from the United States. Leaf Space’s comprehensive platform combines this global ground station network with TT&C services, payload data delivery, automated scheduling, and mission operations support, simplifying ground segment management and accelerating mission deployment. They offer multiple booking models to suit various mission and operational needs, ensuring flexibility, control, and predictable service performance. The network supports standard protocols like CCSDS and DVB-S2, and can integrate new protocols and radios via its SDR suite. Leaf Space guarantees 12 hours of continuous support daily (6:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC).
