FlexRS® Category I surfaces are innovative, very thin, and flexible shell structures that exhibit characteristics of both membranes and shells, hence their designation as Shell Membranes. They are intended for use in conjunction with supporting structures, providing versatility in design and application. A key feature is their applicability across a wide range of frequencies, extending up to Ka-band, making them suitable for advanced communication and sensing systems in space. Furthermore, FlexRS® surfaces offer functionalization possibilities, such as the integration of RF-active coatings for enhanced performance or coloring for specific thermal or optical properties.
