About

The GO-2 is Morpheus Space’s second-generation electric propulsion system, built on Field Emission Electric Propulsion (FEEP) technology originally developed at TU Dresden. It is designed to handle every phase of a satellite’s mission lifetime: constellation deployment and repositioning, station-keeping, collision avoidance, and end-of-life deorbiting.

The system is a modular, plug-and-play unit approximately 1U in size that contains 40 individually controlled thrusters, each with its own propellant tank and independent thrust control, giving operators a high level of redundancy and precise maneuvering. GO-2 uses a solid metallic propellant, eliminating leakage risk and removing the need for moving parts, chemicals, or pressurization systems found in conventional propulsion. It is designed for mass production at Morpheus Space’s ‘Reloaded’ facility in Dresden and supports spacecraft from 6U and up.

GO-2 heritage technology has been in orbit since 2018, has supported commercial customer missions since 2023, and was used in what Morpheus Space describes as the world’s first nanosatellite collision-avoidance maneuver.
