About

The UDC400 is a fully integrated standalone Ka-band transceiver module designed for Low Earth Orbit satellite communication systems. When paired with a modem or Software Defined Radio (SDR), it provides a complete wideband Ka-band satellite communications solution for LEO ground terminals and airborne platforms.

The module offers up to 250 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth and features onboard frequency synthesizers that lock to an external or onboard 10/100 MHz reference signal. Temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXO) maintain frequency stability of ±0.28 ppm across the -40°C to +85°C operating range, ensuring reliable performance in challenging environments.

The UDC400 is fully enclosed in a rugged aluminium housing with SMP and SMPM RF connectors, DC flying leads for power, and 6-pin Pico-Lock connectors for power enable, PLL lock, current monitoring, and temperature sensor interfaces. Applications include LEO satellite communications, high-speed data links, IoT, security, and 5G connectivity. Datasheet, CAD model, ICD, and user manual are available upon request.
