About
IIT Guwahati’s Satellite Research Program is conducted through the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Physics, and the Space Technology Cell. The program focuses on remote sensing applications relevant to the North-East India region including flood monitoring, land use classification, and disaster management. Faculty collaborate with ISRO’s North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) and conduct research in satellite communication, signal processing, and space weather. Student teams develop payloads and ground station infrastructure.
