About
SpaceEye-1 is Satrec Initiative’s flagship commercial Earth observation satellite, launched in 2023 and achieving 0.3 m panchromatic resolution — making it the highest-resolution commercially available non-US satellite at the time of launch. The satellite weighs approximately 500 kg and operates in a 500 km sun-synchronous orbit, providing RGB + panchromatic and 4-band multispectral imagery.
Satrec Initiative sells SpaceEye-1 imagery products through its commercial data distribution channels and is developing the SpaceEye-X family of follow-on satellites targeting even higher resolution and improved revisit rates. The SpaceEye-X constellation will include sub-0.3 m capability and daily revisit for key regions.
SI’s satellite imagery is used for defense and intelligence, precision agriculture, urban planning, infrastructure monitoring, environmental compliance, and disaster response. The company markets its data in direct competition with Planet Labs, Maxar, and Airbus Defence & Space in the commercial EO segment.
