About
SIRIUS is a modular family of small-satellite launch vehicles developed by Sirius Space Services (France), designed from the outset for first-stage reusability. The base SIRIUS 1 configuration is a 2-stage vehicle roughly 26.6 m tall with a 1 m diameter central core, optimized for dedicated small payloads: about 180 kg to a 500 km SSO, or 300 kg at a 50-degree inclination orbit. The SIRIUS 13 configuration adds 2 solid boosters to the same core stack (about 34.9 m tall, ~29.4 tons total), increasing capacity to around 800 kg to SSO 500 km / 1020 kg at 50 degrees, aimed at multi-satellite deployment missions. The SIRIUS 15 configuration is the highest-capacity variant in the range (about 94.6 m… configuration for heavy dedicated missions) for launches requiring roughly 1100+ kg to LEO/SSO class orbits.
All variants are produced in-house using an advanced machine park combining CNC machining and metal additive manufacturing, under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified processes. Sirius targets up to 100% first-stage reusability within about 10 years of first flight, aiming to cut launch costs by up to 60% through reuse and to reduce orbital debris and the environmental footprint of the launch industry. First flight is targeted for 2027.
